Fashion legend and interior designer Iris Apfel once said, “Fashion you can buy, but style you posess”.
Her career as a textile maker has helped to build her collection of clothing, baubles, accessories, antique fabrics, and jewelry from all over the world. She spearheaded a White House restoration project during the Kennedy administration, and 7 other presidents relied on her interior design expertise. Her personal collection of accessories, fabrics and garments were showcased by the Costume Institute at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in 2005.
